Hi all

My heater blower doesn't work at all.. BUT, it was working up until the other day, but it was VERY noisy, it was knocking and banging like a knocking. Then I think I pushed it passed its limits by having it on full wack!

I have ordered a new motor, but wondered if the motor going and the fact it now doesn't work, may mean something else has gone? Don't want to rip it apart, replace motor and find out it still doesn't work.. I've checked the fuse and its fine..

If there is a possibility of something else going, what could it be and where is it? As I may replace it anyway if it isn't too much

Regards

Mutley

Heater resistor. There must a be a million threads on this. But this would just stop it working by removing the electric supply.

If it's noisy you've got a worn/broken motor. You can replae the bearings if it's just these that are loud.

Alternatively, is there debris in the fan?

The bearing wears and you can fix it yourself or you can buy a new motor from link below. I wouldn't bother being concerned where your buying it from because they are made in China anyway.

Nissan UK would charge you £390 after taking their big cut :x
