Thanks Milton And thanks for all the help and advice on the site, shame it ended with a bit of bad taste, TBH both my wife and I loved driving it and it was one of the nicest vehicles we've owned but 3yrs from working to expired is not good at all, one the worst in terms of longevity I've ever owned... |

Wow was it really 2016 the last post on mine :oops: Well I'm afraid to say after 3 years of ownership the gearbox blew up last year :roll: loved driving the Xy but very dissapointed in a gearbox going west with under 130k on the clock, I know its not a landrover and TBH I think I drove mine quite ca... |

What's wrong with the black ones? Nothing, but they tend to be a dirt magnet :sad: Mrs wanted a black car much to my guidance, yeah looks great for the first 30seconds after its been cleaned but drive it up the road and its filthy within a few yards :roll: needless to say she agrees with me now :lo... |

I've never found mpg to be that accurate on ODB, cant beat the good olde calculator of what you put in and the miles you do way, theres plenty of "apps" out there that you can load to a smart phone. Problem with the ODB way is its not actually measuring any fuel, its just best guessing fro... |

ooooo a black one.......you must like cleaning
The crimped ones are easy to spot as you can see the crimps rather than a clean weld, heres me doing some DIY re-crimping

Think it does depend on which intercooler you need, there are some around that price, mine was around the £150 price from memory which to me seemed a little steep and I prefer to change my airfilter for about a £5 every 6mths which has drastically reduced my leakage to a level that for me is very ac... |

You may find just by changing the air filter a lot more regular the oil leaking from the intercooler will decrease dramatically, mine certainly has, or cough up £130-£150, I think, for a welded core one, theres not really a way to fix it, intercoolers are designed to hold air......not oil ;-) Yeah t... |
