Mine has survived for 9 years now on the initial charge from the factory, but a couple of weeks ago when we had that very hot weather, it finally gave up & blew warm air. Took it to a small local garage & he pulled a vacuum which thankfully held then he topped up with gas & it is workin...

Well I finally got round to having mine checked yesterday, and it turns out that I have a serious leak from the compressor so it looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and have it replaced. In the old days I would probably have done the job myself, but with a dodgy back and hip it's a bit beyond me...

The only thing that put me off the T30 when I was looking for an X Trail was the fact that they didn't offer a diesel automatic. As I wanted both, I went for an early T31. Cost me a bit more than I really wanted to pay, but it's a great car that I really enjoy driving. Pulls my caravan a treat too, ...

Not been here for a while - sorry. The latest X7 discs are definitely the 2013 maps. I would never buy a Nissan again if they stop map updates only 4-years after I bought it. :headbang: The T31 is an excellent vehicle, the T32 is downgraded to a crossover and the Škoda Kodiak is better - although I...

Two years ago on my T30 I had to replace the condenser and one of the other pipes as they were leaking. A local aircon guy re-gassed it. They do say that the systems need to be used regularly to keep all the seals lubricated and in good order but even then systems can lose between 10% and 15% of th...

That to me say's compressor is running but on low gas. I'd go to Kwik Fit and they do the check and if it needs gas only charge you then. It very much sounds like a small leak for the compressor to start at all that is unless the mixer flat in back of dash is stuck? What happens if you change the a...

Do engine revs drop at tickover if you turn the AC on? Mine didn't because the compressor electromagnetic clutch had failed. Annoyingly, it's not available as a separate part so I needed a new compressor (about £800 all in). No, the engine revs don't drop at all, they never have. I think there is s...
