hi all

Is it more economical to use 2whl. drive or should I leave it in 4whl.auto

The owners manual say that if the conditions are slippery the 4whl. drive will kick in, any way

Through out the summer ,ive tried both,it as not made any difference to the mpg,in either 2 or 4 wheel drive,
so when winter arrives it will be in 4 wd, just incase of bad weather conditions

The 2 to 4 wheel drive, is (normally) computer steered. As will say: sensors are working and notice speed distance between wheels and axels in relation to temperature, drift, rotation speed of the wheels, etc. As the system "says" go for 4 wheel drive, the rear axel will be working too. The real time you drive 4 wheel is (seen in %) that little, that it has a very small influence on your total milage per year...
(Except from driving the whole year in the arctic..... ☺☺☺)
