Hi, I'm owning a 2013 X-trail Original, due to a leak I need to know how to remove the flattish black original roof rails (front to back on either side). Please anybody ... thanks a mil for any tips.
Mine is 2011 & has the roof lights, but I would suggest you visiting your nearest panel beater & asking their advice & with a nice smile it should be free!

If the leak is coming from one of the upper corners of the windshield (inside, of course), most probably it won’t be necessary to remove those rails. The adhesive that holds in place the windshield and some rust developed under it are usually to be blamed for leaks in that area. The only solution in such a case is to replace the windshield and the rubber strip around it. Don’t ask me how I know.
