Hi all. When it is raining and the wind screen mists up, I turn the fan on. Regardless of fan speed or fan temperature, the mist only clears if the ac is also on(orange light in centre of third dial from left is on).

So my question is, is this correct and if the temp is set to say 25degs, but the ac is on, is there not some sort of conflict here?

I have the same problem - only clears when air con is on - a real pain. I've tried altering the temp/air direction, everything and sometimes the only way is to open the window. Leaving air con on al the time seems to do the trick though.

yes its a fault all xtrails have all that glass and a big sun roof.with the ac on it drys the air in the cab thats why it clears so fast ...just a case of puttin it on then turn it off... :thumbs:

Thanks for the replies guys. I will continue to experiment but think it is just one the little foibles we have to put up with.

have just seen you're in Aberdeen. In the winter don't forget to turn the heater up as well as having the air con switched on :smile:

Funny - but how wrong you are. You need to turn it up in summer, spring and autumn too!
