I have no illumination on my clock/milage display within the speedo. If the bulb has gone how do I gain access to it to change or is it normally not lit?

Which model of Xtrail do you have ?
The Series 1 with fold out cup holders in the dash or the Series 2 with the flip up cup holders ?

Took light cluster out yesterday, which was suprisingly simple, and all the bulbs that are fitted are all working. Could't find a bulb near to the clock/milage LCD display. I'm now wondering if it was designed to be lit at all. Am I trying to cure a problem that does not exsist? :headbang:

Hi Martin,
If your cluster looked like the diagram I posted then the lamp in the black holder around the middle at the bottom should be the one that illuminates the lcd display when the parker/headlamps are switched on.
If you have a petrol Xtrail then you should not have a bulb in the middle lower hole which is for the diesel glowplug indicator. Maybe the globe was put into that location in error ?
