My clutch pedal on my 2004 2.5 Sport is intermittently not returning, you have to lift it with your foot. I've visually checked the pedal, and it seems ok. I've just had the fluid changed in case it was that as I don't know when it was last changed, it's improved slightly. The car is very low mileage (67k) and has hardly been used in the last couple of years (I've only had it a month) so I'm wondering if it's the seals in the slave cylinder?
I've just ordered a replacement to try.
Any thoughts?

Fitted a slave cylinder - still got the problem. I'm sure it's a hydraulic issue, may be the master cylinder?
Has no one had this issue before?

Now fitted a new clutch master cylinder - what a pig of a job - so far so good! Did order a flexible hose as well, but it was to short.

The saga continues! Done nearly 500 miles since I fitted the master cylinder & no issues - until yesterday. Couldn't get any gears - left it for 15 minutes then all good again & drove 40 miles home with no issues. Running out of ideas, suspecting maybe the clutch fork/clutch. I've lubed & greased the gear change mechanism just in case.
Any suggestions welcome before I pull the gearbox out.
