Need to replace a fuel injector on my 2006 2.2. Booked car into a Nissan dealer who quoted £650, then today, the day off the supposed repair, the cost has gone up to £850 plus! Not sure I believe the "Nissan put up the cost of the injector from £550 to £750" or the scenario that the dealer needed to make a bit more income.

Car now off to another non Nissan garage for its repair. Not sure of cost though Nissan stealer is not getting the cash! :x

i dont blame you for changing garages,you think nissan would honour the quote they gave you

Off to an independent garage today and leaving the car. They were quoted tha same for the injector off Nissan at £550 which is why I am suspicious that the dealer has made a mistake with the fitting cost and upped the quote by £200. Will let you know the outcome for those oil burners that may have a similar issue in the future!

Car back. Injectors tested and OK. Injector pump pressures also OK. Garage not sure what the issue may be and have given me another garage in Leeds who specialise in diesels.

Have been told I could have a "noisy" engine. Going to wait and see if there is any further deterioration or increase in the "knock" rather than spend more money with no result.
