I decided to fit a new Denso SCV a few months back on my 06 dci just because I thought it would go sooner or later and they are easy enough to do,even though the xtrail was running fine . Now after I did the fuel pump relearn it ran all good and the Xtrail was responsive and ran lovely like a different vehicle and idling was silky smooth. After a few days it felt like the responsiveness had tailed off and just felt ever so slightly sluggish again .Now I have done the relearn on and off for a few months as a test and every time my Xtrail runs nice again ,is responsive and idles lovely, but every time after a few days it seems to go back the way it was .
It seems that whatever driving style is stored when I do a relearn isn't being stored by the ECU if that makes sense . Do you think I need to ship the Xtrail off to Nissan dealer to get it done properly .
