hi all i am now a proud owner of x-trail 54 plate sport excellent for towing my caravan.. just found out that it doesn't have heated wing mirrors miss selling by garage.. would the wireing already be in the vehicle just to be able to conect or would it have to be wired from scratch.. can i get new heated mirror to just replace what i have got..

Yes - this is how they work.

They only work if heated mirrors are fitted. Mine didnt have them and mine was supposed to be a hi spec Fat Face model.

The cabling is in situ and if you buy and fit a pair of heated mirrors they will work.

I retrofitted my old Primera and Wife's Accord with heated mirrors. Just buy heated mirror glasses. You must remove the mirror is self to fit two cables in: one ground and one +12v. I screwed groud to the door under a bolt. +12v wire goes to rear window heater relay harness(to that wire wich goes to rear heater). Connectors to glass can find in any car parts store. Have to do my xtrail to.
The plan is to order seat hearter elements too from ebay.
