hello to one and all

just bought an xtrail and picking up tomorrow

55 plate SVE in 2.2 dci

just need to get a boot liner and some mats for the footwells to keep it in tip top condition inside

i suppose it's time to start trawling the site for hints and tips

i've heard a few horror stories re the volv 4x4 system not working and not been able to tell

can you tell on the xtrail

for example if the selector is turned to 2wd should there be any dash lights on

or would there be any dash lights showing to indicate a fault and if so whats the likely problem and cost to fix?

No lights on mine for 2 wd, green light for 4 wd auto, lock when locked in 4 wd, i think from what i have read that locked 4 wheel drive stays locked until 25mph,then goes in to auto 4wd

really happy with the xt so far

although no problems with turbo it does pray on my mind a little

what can i do to help maintain its life
