Hi
My father has a 2004 nissan x trail 2.2 tdci. The last couple of months the engine management light has been coming on and going into limp home mode, The turbo works randomly with the rpm's sometimes not going over 2000. When it goes flat he turns ignition off and on again and it will be ok for a while then back to the same problem. When he disconnects battery the light goes off for a while but then comes back on. He had someone do a diagnostic check and it came up code 28 fuel regulator, but having read a few posts in this forum it could be a number of problems. It is also leaking oil (I think) around the intercooler, yet the oil level doesn't seem to be dropping, could this be unburnt fuel? Could anyone shed any light on this please ? Thanks in advance.
