At 43000 miles and exactly 5 years to the day turbo went bang.
Contacted nissan customer services spoke to a helpful gentleman
who said he would look into the matter dealer service history ect.
and phone me back he did this and said nissan would pay for all parts
required and the dealer would pay for the labour. Overall satisfied with the outcome, that said turbos/fuel pumps/injectors ect. should not fail at the mileage they seem to do on x trails maybe its because
the bits that fail are renault sourced not nissan.

Renault don't make turbo's or fuel pumps just like Nissan don't , these are made by the likes of Garrett and Denso, the intercooler, well maybe they make them or employ some sweatshop in China to make em, that fault lies with the cheap construction using compressed joints rather than welded!

Good on yer for getting Nissan to stump up for a new turbo, though I bet the dealer got a shock at being told to cover the labour cost, can't see them taking to that to kindly!

My 2004 Nissan Blew the turbo at about 63,000 miles - and 5 years, 6 months old.
Total cost was £2,000 for Labour + Turbo +ECU.
Nissan were really good - I paid the Labour of about £300 and they covered the rest.
