hi everybody !! first of all before we even start with x-trail problems , why /how can`t i use my hotmail e-mail address to sign up ? is this a problem or just me . Anyway my wife and i have an 53 plated x-trail and yes its her baby although it does get worked , we have now done 94000 mls and quite a lot of it towing a horse box . the main difference between x=trail and land rovers etc are that when not towing they are comfortable and ****** fast , we live in fife scotland and our daughter is living the other side of Aberdeen , in ant other car when we got to her house we would be stiff as old boards and knackered but with the x=trail no problems . i like to think i an quite technical but what is all that under the bonnet !! i intend to change all struts and springs this year so if anyone has fitted or knows of a supplier of uprated susp please let me know and also anyone ad a problem when fitting new glow plugs ? i fitted a set then found after two or three days starting has come just a little delayed starts fine but theres just a little puase that wasn`t there before? more puzzlement and does anyone know where that little oil leak at the front of the engine is coming from its not enough to show on the ground but if i wipe the rubber pipes which connect onto the air charger rad on top of the engine i always get a drip there and signs of oil on the fins of air charger at front , does anyone know if this oil could be coming from inside the charger or as i think getting blown up there while driving then driping down onto the front of engine when stopped . anyway time for me to shut up and drink my ovaltine now, so look forward to anyone who actually maintains their own x-trail
