I am getting my first X trail on Saturday and am really looking forward to it.
Just had a quick question - I went to see a few over the last couple of weeks and one common fault I noticed is that the cloth on the drivers seat outer bolster seems to be a weak point as they were all worn in the same place. Even an 06 SE I looked at had the same wear.
Is this a common problem with the cloth interiors?
My new X trail SE which is an early 2005 54 plate car has some wear on the seat but not as bad as some others I looked at so I just accepted it.
Is it possible to replace the seat cover and will it cost the earth? Will I need to buy this from Nissan? Could I fit it myself as I am pretty good with fiddly jobs?
Also if I find the sponge underneath is damaged can this also be replaced?
