Okay, did a general search on here and could not find any thing specifically related to cost - I have seen the servicing schedule & I am aware of what needs doing/changing each 2 years, etc.

I have booked in with Middlehurst Nissan in St.Helens for July who are qouting me £324 for my 4th year service with me supplying my own oil - is this right/reasonable as I have been very happy with the quality of their work so far (GTR specialist).

Thoughts/comments welcomed.

Cheers
Martin

Last week I had Major Service done to my X Sport (petrol 2.0, T30 reg 04) with http://www.nationwideautocentres.co.uk/. The price was £259 for Major Fully-Synthetic Service, but I also asked them for Transfer Box and Rear Diff oil change as my car has 77k on the clock. They also did the fuel system cleaning free of charge, as there is (they said - is there?) unchangeable lifelong fuel filter. (?)
Finally I paid £355.
I bought the car few weeks ago and didn't know if the previous owner looked after the car (service history looks suspiciously too good ;-) ) so to set my mind at rest about that I was ready to pay so much for a service.
But I DO NOT recommend them! Before I took my car to them I read through their Service Schedule to make sure that they check wheels for correct balance as the steering wheel shaking was noticible when driving at higher speeds (60-80mph). They didn't check that!!! :headbang: Yesterday I took the car to National Tyres garage and we found that the front off-side wheel needed to be rebalanced. They did it free of charge!
Now I'm thinking if Nationwide-Autocentres didn't check such "small" thing (although it's included in their Service Schedule) what else they didn't do :| :headbang:

Thanks for your comments paolomario but I am really trying to establish main dealer prices as our X-Trail only has 20k on the clock.

Has anyone had a 4th year service at a main dealer recently (within the last 6 months) & if so, how much did it set you back?

Surely some one has?

XY bought new 21/11/05,2.2dci sve.
1st service,M1,on 23/11/06 at 9242 cost £146 ex vat.
2nd service,M2,on 22/10/07 at 24800 cost£270 ex vat,but B/fluid and Fuel Filter not done!!
3rd service,M3,on 23/9/08 at 36850 cost £289 ex vat.
4th service,M1,on 12/11/09 at 47195 cost£240 ex vat,but Fuel Filter not done.
Notes;-1st 3rd and 4th done by main dealer where I bought the car in Banbury. At 3rd they changed the leaking Intercooler FOC.
2nd done by main dealer in Milton Keynes who charged £54 for new front brake pads and £90 for fitting!!!(this is not included in the service cost)but missed the brake fluid change and F/F change. When F/F clogged at 26924 on18/12/07 this was changed at cost of £48 ex vat,and Brake Fluid change done for free(after some arguement)
Fuel Filter clogged again at approx 40000 on 2/2/09 and cost of change was £63 ex vat,so is reason why not done on last M1(4th )service at 47195 miles.

Hope this is of some help.
PS.Our other car is an 05(55)MX5 2.0iSport--best fun ever!!
