I have had a couple of X Trails pass me and the owners have given a descrete wave. Having been a member in the past of a VW Beetle owners club (yea I know, but I was young once too you know) I know this is normal practice but didn't know it happened with X Trails? Could also be that I'm maybe driving with my bonnet up or something's hanging off my car and these people are just warning me! Has anyone else had experience of waving X Trail owners and is this the "done thing" - don't want to appear rude by not returning the gesture.

Happened to me once, just after I bought the car and took it on its first holiday, this was just after the first facelift in 04 and the other driver also had a new 04 XT, it suprised me at the time and I wondered the same, but I can't say it has happened since, shame though!

I normally have a look over, but most of thr drivers seem to not notice that there is another x trail in their range.

Do get the odd glance over , but then too late.
