Recent events with the fuel pump / limp mode problems have got me wondering what vehicle would make a good replacement for my 2004 XT, which till now has been mostly fault free, not really wishing to desert the XT at the first sign of trouble as I have really enjoyed this car over 6 years of ownership, but what would make a good replacement?

Cars that have been turning my head at the moment are: Ford Kuga, Vauxhall Antara, Chevrolet Captiva, VW Tiguan or maybe Jeep Cherokee.

hi Steve,my personal choice would be either the vw, or the jeep
not keen on the other 3 im afraid, before i had the exy i had a qashqai,it had what i call a slope at the back, and although it looked a fair size it was not, my mates volvo v70 estate had more room,(we could get 2 lots of fishing tackle in the volvo easier than the qashqai) any way i suppose its what use you want out of them, good luck with your search
