Hello all.
I just sent my 2.2dci 04 reg back to the garage I got it from because I thought it had a wheel bearing on the way out, they took it to a 4x4 garage who say its the rear tyres as they have worn in a feather edge or saw tooth pattern. and its a common thing on 4x4's ,you are meant to rotate the tyres from one side to the other to even out the wear .
well I will be picking up the car tomorrow and we will see if it was the tyres if not they will have to do the bearings too and I got 2 new tyres for free.

Just got the car back with new tyres fitted from the garage I got the car from and although they have put cheapish tyres on the wheel bearing noise has gone, so the moral of this story is don't forget to rotate the tyres from one side to the other every service as long as they are unidirectional.
