I have been looking at car ramps.Will a set load bearing two ton be ok ,or should i go for the 2 and a half ton ones.Extra Wide for £28 Which do you suggest Regards Baz

Apparently, the kerb weight is about 1500kg, with gross weight around 2000kg.
Extra wide ramps will probably fit the car better, but to be honest I have a set of ramps which I hardly ever use.

I find a jack and axle stands much more useful.

Don't forget to put a couple of sand bags at the back of each ramp or they will slide and choke the wheels. :thumbs:

Mods: Duplex chain upgrade, EGR valve blanked off EGR allso set to off or ignore via ECU.
i have a cheep set well constructed to get the max out of the metierials its made from so any failure would be catastrophic,i have a home made set overenginerd but with a nice long runup or ramp.
