Hi everyone, new here on this forum, I've tried to change my stereo in my 2007 xtrail, I have changed many stereos over the years, but when I tried changing this one it got the better of me, I have never seen wires like it before it's like Nissan decided to mix them all up, I tried putting in a xtrons stereo and bought several different harness that was supposed to fit the xtrail not one of them did, so I decided to try wiring it up myself and fried the stereo, but I still want a different stereo, my question is does anyone know what the proper harness is and where can I get one that fits,
I've posted some pictures
Thanks ImageImage

I think this is what you will need to get the stereo to work its what I used when I changed mine over.

I used the same harness as fasthearse but i think you require a different one with 2 plugs rather than 1 it may be this one https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/stereo-fittings/nissan-iso-harness-adaptor---ct20ns03-581766.html bare in mind the x trail does not have an earth on the loom for the radio (earth provided by ariel I think and the metal mounting plate) i spliced my earth connection from the radio to the metal mounting plate and works a treat. my x trail is a 2006 Columbia and had the built in satnav so the plugs are different, i installed a pumpkin ae0273b radio i purchased for my skoda a couple of years ago and i have not had any issues with it todate and the steering control worked without needing to buy another adaptor.
