It's not. I upgraded from D024 (must be original release version from Mar 2014) to D554. There is also a later version, D605, I believe.

Upgrade is worth doing just to add the 'next preset' function on the steering wheel buttons e.g. instead of going through all DAB stations alphabetically, it cycles through your saved presets.
