update
after that post I looked at the filter on car and unplugged it and re connected plug
since then the light has never been back on ? and all seems well
strange

Mine doing the same can you tell me what you actually did when you said unplugged and plugged it again..

yes exactly that
unplugged it cleaned terminals with a bud and alcohol cleaner
reconnected
touch wood never had a problem since

Do i need to take off something like the fuel filter protector to reach the said plug

Hold on for a sec. Are we talking the same fuel filter? Its located at the upper left side of the engine bay.

The electrical terminal of my fuel filter is at the top of it and I wont be able to unplugged it till Ive taken off the fuel filter protector. im confuse now.
