Hi guys,

Need some advise. I have a 67 plate t32 1.6 diesel tekna. Just had this warning light come on for water in the diesel filter.

I assume the filters are not auto draining, if not is this something I can do myself or does it need to go into nissan?

Thanks

Hi
My 67 plate Tekna has started doing the same, but it's intermittent - the last 2 days it's been off, which points at a faulty sensor to me, otherwise it would be on all the time (there's either water in the fuel or not).

This morning it was on again, but 3 miles into journey it goes off.

My wifes car is a 2016 volvo and we use the same fuel stations - her car has never identified water in fuel.

My car is going in to dealers on Monday so I'll mention it to them. They'll probably want to change the filter as a starting point unless they identify anything more obvious.

Will let you know.

Hi
To update, I mentioned this issue to the dealer and also that for the past 3 days the light has remained off (still off today, 4th day in a row). The advisor said all they could do is change the fuel filter which would be chargeable, ie not covered by warranty.

I think soon there will be a service bulletin about this as obviously there's a problem. If anyone else gets the intermittent warning please advise this forum....the more reports the more chance Nissan will look at it.

Anyway, as it's off for now I said we'll leave it and maybe change it at the first service.

Cheers.

Hi, ours has gone off and stayed off. I had noticed a small patch of what looks like water under the car on a few occasions, I'll have to investigate but it could be the dumping of water?
