my 16 plate xtrail has LED headlights fitted but over the last few months, I have noticed the light seems to be getting dull?

at certain times my lights are on but there does not seem to be any light on the road?

when I stand in front of my car the lights look very bright to look at but sat in the car the light on the road is rubbish especially at dusk, its like I have no lights on
I have seen many different newer cars with led type lights and they produce much more light on the road?

can these bulbs be upgraded? has anyone done it?

Hi Dug, it's not something I've considered doing.

I've found the LED headlights on mine (2014) to be very bright indeed. I regularly get 'flashed' because other drivers think I have full beam on.

Mine are like searchlights, TBH.

U can set them to come on earlier in the menu. u can also adjust the height of the beam maybe try that. If ur not the first owner it may be set for towing? Must confess every other car I drive I moan about the lights compared to my xtrail I’ve always thought the lights are great to be honest.
