 I have hand injury so getting the bolts undone at the back where you have to lean over and have plenty of force just didnt happen for me, so after talking to a few mechanics who told me another way and this worked for me.
Carb spray, it dont cost much I think around £3 a bottle and I used one and a bit. Take the cooler off and give that a good clean out as i did the pipes, spray direct into the intake (engine side of air filter) while revving around 2k i think it was. after that take it for a run not a slow plod around town. It made a big difference and been fine since. Good luck....... of course if I could have got mine off I would have cleaned it with over cleaner like mr mussel and that brings them up like new with a little time spent doing a good job.
Spray into the pipe between intercooler & EGR.
