Hi I've got a 2006 T30 2.2, it's leaking oil I'm sure from the oil cooler on the back of the engine, any advice on how to swap it? Can hardly see it from underneath and to get it from the top looks like a lot will need stripped out... has anyone done one before?
Just one central bolt holding the oil cooler in and 2 coolant pipes(You shouldn't need to take the coolant pipes off unless the actual cooler is split) ..I would say that the O ring has gone hard ,then they tend to leak-weep .What I usually do which works is fit a new O ring on or clean all oil off all mating surfaces and stick some gasket sealer on the old O ring and re-fit .Did my daughters skoda and hasn't leaked to this day after 5 years. If you follow the steps to change the Suction Control Valve which is right by the cooler ,by taking the wipers off and scuttle panel you should have plenty of room to get down there from above
