Recently fitted two rear window motors to replace the old burnt out ones - they failed about 2 years ago, but I don't carry passengers very often so blocked the windows shut with a length of wood! New to me motors have been tested off the car and work fine, tested in the doors with a slave battery and work fine there as well. The problem is that they don't seem to be getting any current through any of the switches that should operate them I suspect the fuse may have blown when the motors burnt out. The original handbook is singularly unhelpful at identifying which fuse is likely to be the culprit. I've looked at the fuse box layout in one of the posts at the top of this page, but still cannot work out which one I should be looking for.
Any assistance gratefully received.

Fuse 5 (10 amp) in the fuse box inside the car controls the ignition feed to the power window relay, fusible link B in the fuse box in the engine compartment controls the main power feed, both of these provide power to all the windows so the front ones would be off as well, is it possible the cutoff switch on the drivers door is turned off?

I will have to check those things out - the front windows are working OK so it sounds as if the fuse isn't the culprit.
Need to have a fiddle with the cutout switch - a job for tomorrow!

Also check integrity of wiring in convoluted grommet between B pillar and door.

Had a bit of a fiddle this afternoon, got the drivers side rear to go down but not back up. After a lot of swearing I had to connect a slave battery up to it to get it to go back up.
Suspect duff wiring in the loom between door and pillar - which one though? Front or back? Or both?
