First you should check if there are any error codes stored in the ECU...

Good advice from above or a Cheap Code reader can be acquired off ebay ......something like this one like I use https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Fault-En ... aWNh7.Just plug in to your diagnostic socket and off you go .Worth having one in your car anyway

Hi, I have had the same in banking the throttle down and going into limp mode. A flick on the ignition and it is fine. It could be that the Turbo can't back of quick enough, so over boosts. I have done the same with slightly less ferocity ( speed to down to the floor) on the pedal and all it fine. The ZD30 3.0L engine had that same problem, were the ECU was to slow, and would do just that. Most owners of them fit a boost valve to the vacuum system. I don't know much about them, but a chap that I supply EGR plates to is Australia sells the kit's.

since my last post it is in limp mode every time you go a few yards and the management light comes, i took it for diagnostics at two different garages and both came up with the same error code i think it was 330 crank , but different outcomes . The first garage said it was stretched timing chain which made it idle lumpy £380 so i went to a second garage and got the same code but he assured me it was one injector down and he could recondition all 4 ballpark figure £100 an injector , is it worth going to a third garage as im confused , none of them charged for the diagnostic.

Are you able to get the exact code again? The reason I ask is 330 is not an actual fault code. It would help others on here with a wealth of experience point you in the right direction.

Just be aware that a lot of garages out there haven't got a clue when it comes to the Nissan 2.2 Diesel engine. Its just proved it to you by getting two totally different answers from two garages.

Seriously get the exact code and get it posted on here and I am sure one of the guys with experience on the Dci 2.2 engine will be able to advise you and point you in the right direction.

I agree with leafy mind, as crank has been mentioned it might just be a faulty crank or cam shaft sensor. These are both easily removed and cleaned or just replaced.

While the car is at a standstill and out of gear does the rev counter hunt up and down ??

Cheers
Mike
