 Post subject: Brake pipe copper washers......

as its says in the heading - anyone any idea what size they are.
I don't particularly want to strip one side down, then traipse around trying to find the right size washers - hereabouts that could involve a lot of kms.....

If you have access to a blow torch, they're easy to anneal and re-use. Just heat for a few seconds until dull red and leave to cool. Best done in the dark if you're not used to it. Depending on the heat source used, you need to be careful not to melt them though.

Thanks for the replies - the original banjo bolts are fine so I don't see the need to change them, especially as new washers are cheap as chips, and the heating and annealing process will probably lead to me messing one up.....
