The cabin fan motor recently seized. I replaced it with a cheap ebay special and now even on full whack I only get a gentle waft from the vents. Checked the fan is getting a full 12V and made sure the housing was put back together correctly. Has anyone else had this problem? Is the only solution a genuine Nissan motor? £400+ from my local dealer or used and potentially abused from a breaker.

You will probably find the fam is spinning the wrong way. Swap the positive and negative wires around and then come back and thank me!

Thank you!

Even though the connector is designed to only connect one way once I swapped the wires it is now fully functional and even sounds better. Well done!

Lol. Fans for LHD models spin the other way and the squirrel cage is opposite handed. Known issue (to some of us).

If you haven't done already, change cabin filter as well.
