I used Autoglym on my last car, and was always happy with the outcome! See they've got a fairly big fanbase here too, haha. Grease lightning is good too, if you really want some extra shine.

Might have a tip that might come in handy for those of you who shop online, by the way - if you spend some time looking around on the internet, you might be able to find some voucher codes for car shops and sites like Amazon that you can use while on the hunt for products :) I've had the most luck on Voucherbox UK, but there are loads more out there.

I use Poorboys, Chemical Guys, Meguiars, sonus, dodo juice, Menzerna, Wolfs Chemicals, 3M best polishes you can find so long as you've got a random orbit machine, I've hundreds of products from detailing vehicles for the last 15 years. but the best product I would recommend to any one is Wolf Chemicals - Hard Body Nano Sealant can get it for around £25-30 use it on both my other cars haven't had time with xtrail yet works better than any polish or wax makes water bead like nothing you've even seen my cars get two coats a year and that's it no polishing ever keeps em looking showroom all year just wash as normal

Should never use any kind of washing up liquid as it contains salt cars worst enemy

No problem any car shampoo is better than washing up liquid as the salt also causes really bad swirling in the paint aswell

Salt ( 2 % ? ) diluted in a bucket of water....how many parts per million ? corrosion to paintwork ? worse than driving on salted roads in the winter?
