Hello all, i have recently moved from Melbourne in southern Australia to the Kimberley in North West of Australia to a very remote community. The next town is 350 kilmetres away! It is also the hottest part of Australia. Because of the remoteness and the need for a 4wd vehicle, i decided on the t31 which I liked how the car could operate mainly in 2wd for good freeway milage but had a good reputation of one of the better 'soft' offroader vehicles which could handle itself offroad.

My previous cars were Subaru Legacy Gtb, Mazda Rx7 fd, and a Honda Prelude Bb4.

Loving the xtrail and its great to see what it can do offroad. Spent today doing some local tracks which the xtrail managed quite well. I really like the hill descent function. I have driven through some small rivers.

I am hoping to purchase some proper AT tyres for my xtrail, and wouldnt mind a small lift just for the added clearance. Also definitel need some proper bash plates.

Thanks will

"Hello and Welcome DuaneDibbley / Will",

Good to read that You like the Xtrail - Do you know that there is also an Aussie Xtrail Forum ?

Here is a Link: http://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/

I am NOT trying to `get rid` of You - I thought that I would mention it because I have read on there about Members `going to the Kimberley` - You might be able to find some New Friends with Xtrails on there.

You are of course most Welcome on here.

By the way - Nice Photos in your posts.

Regards,

Chris

"Hello again",

I did think that You probably would have at least known that there was an Aussie Xtrail Forum - But just in case you did not I thought that I would mention it.

Strangely when I bought My Xtrail I found the Aussie Xtrail Forum before I found the UK Xtrail Forum - but this was because I did not even know that there would be ANY Xtrail Owners Forums and I found the Aussie Forum via a Browser result while looking for something else.

You are definitely correct about being a part of other communities - I have received good information and advice about My Xtrail from both the UK and Aussie Xtrail Forums.

Regards,

Chris
