We picked up our 2004 2.2 Diesel SVE a few weeks ago.

So far, i've replaced a few of the interior lights with LEDs, then i started reading on the facebook group about all the rot that could be in the rear turrets.
I checked in the wheel-well and found a few rusty water marks on the passenger side (the drivers side is fine)......so got the plastics off and set to work with a screwdriver poking everything out that was rotten.
And this is how it looked when i'd cleared all the c**P out:

I'm just in the process of finding a local welder to cut and weld a patch on that turret, but in the meantime, I went at it with a wire brush head on a power drill, used Ferntan rust treatment on everything i could get it onto, made it weather tight with Isopon P40 fibreglass repair patch and P38 filler, then waxoyled over it in the wheel arch and hammerite "straight to rust" on the inside.
It's a daily driver so i needed it patched and weather-tight.......it's temporarily better like that than it was before i poked the rust through!
