Hi all thought I'd tell you about my other car its a Suzuki GV 1600 auto I've had from new 2001 so into my 13th year now. "I hope the X trail is going to be as good"! Its now done 55000 miles and has always kept going. I've been up to the door bottom's in mud more than once, mind I did have to be pulled out with a tractor!! It's been up and down the motorway's off road in Scotland's Forrest's. But I find myself needing more room and comfort now due to disability. So I'm picking up the Nissan next week and looking forward to a bit more style.
I'll let you know how I get on with it. P.S. great forum have enjoyed reading all the posts.

Hi I'm keeping the Suzuki cos it's a good'n & I've part exe'd a ford focus, which is also a great car to drive & only 40000 miles on, I'll miss driving it! We've had it for 9 years with only having to change a coil pack, that just gave last year. I think I've swapped the right one. Time will tell. Never had a diesel before & having read a few comments on the forum about the DPF I thought I'd use the Suzuki "petrol" for around town & short journeys.

Well I've had my xtrail now for 12 months and I do agree it's a brilliant 4x4 and much better on fuel than my Suzuki, however still got my trusty old GV and it's just past it's MOT again with nothing to do, it just keeps on going! Just shows if you look after and service modern cars they can last a long long time.
