How could I have forgotten the Audi 5000 (Audi Avant in the UK)? A great car although apparently not maintained at all by the previous owner, in Montreal, resulting in an engine and transmission in bad shape. There should have been a clue in the fact that the vehicle was a Quebec registration, and was being sold in Calgary; I liked it so much as to be blind to the clue. The transmission cratered shortly afterwards, however Audi replaced the transmission free of charge, despite the car's being out of warranty (well done Audi!).

Drove it down to California and back and enjoyed the drive a lot. Kept it two years, and sold it when we moved to Texas.

I think that's the only one forgotten.

Eh guys, adding to this thread today took me on a spin down memory lane......ah those care free days.

I've ended up fishing around in the loft as I knew I had a handful of photos knocking around.

Took me right back looking at these again, fun times indeed.

Macca 6876 i to had a 2.0is D985TFT total dog rust and more rust.

As it happens i picked up the Sierra as a run about to get to college and back after the Manta was written off by a dopey taxi driver flying through a junction. It was a great motor though and eventually sold it for pretty much what i paid for it

Funnily enough leaving the Exys to one side, for all the fun fords theres been, i'd have to say that the Manta GTE was my favourite from the early days...and it was pretty basic too, didn't even have lecky windows

"Avant" is the name Audi call an Estate Car and can go with any model - EG: A4 Avant, A6 Avant, etc.

Another couple that i have remembered.
2004-2007 2001 Y Peugeot 306 1.4 meridian. This was a great little car around 44mpg sold it to a lad i work with and he is still driving it.
Around 2006 i was given a H reg Mazda 929 estate the lad was moving back to Canada.It had been used as a bin with used and new nappies, Maccy d cartons,clothes when i cleaned it out i got 5 bin bags full of rubbish but also a full socket set,2x soldering irons around 40 CD's and about £4.00. Ran it up to the scrap yard and got £135 for it.
Around 1997 i got a 1980 W reg Ford Escort Mk2 1.3GL in Gold.
