Model: Sport Expedition Extreme - Diesel 173 - Manual
Year/Plate: 2009 / 59
Colour: Thundercloud
Mods: Nerside rearview mirror replaced for with one with blind-spot mirror (genuine Nissan part for an LHD X-Trail), DRLs (proper ones that dim at night), LED sidelights, Front+Rear DashCam
T31 - 173 BHP - manual is what I would get.

Aventura is the top - Sport is next - main difference is the Leather seats and Xenon headlights.

I have had mine for 3 years now & I love it. Replaced front discs & brake pads all round recently, plus front tyres at 19000 miles. Other that that, no problems.

So far so good with a 2009 T31 173hp. My wife averages 42mpg and loves it. It is an Arctix Expedition with SatNav. The SatNav is actually a lot better than we expected, and my wife has given her trusty TomTom to our daughter. The audio system is very good and the BlueTooth integration works very well with her mobile. Off-road capability has dealt with everything asked of it so far. Mind you, she loved her 2006 2.2 dCi, which looks like it may now sell on eBay.

scotspie501 expressed a preference for a diesel, and fuel costs may be a factor in this. Vandy, your honest reply supports this choice. I'm not sure if diesel engines will ever be as refined and responsive as petrol, but in this context diesel is as refined as most people will need. There may be a premium in buying price for diesel, but second hand it shouldn't be much. Personally I prefer the more relaxed driving a diesel affords. Effortless torque from almost tickover, low rev relaxed cruising. If you like burning rubber then a diesel probably isn't for you, but if you like seeing 40+ mpg however you drive then diesel is the way to go.
