Probably been discussed before but here goes...

I will need new tyres within 3-4000 miles so starting my research now...

Truck currently has Goodyears on and they seem noisy, no idea how many miles they have done. Grip feels fine in dry but so far untested in wet and cold conditions.

Had Hankook Dynapro hp2 on my Suzuki GV DDiS and they were great but of course this is a different truck so may not be as good on it.

Continental Contact 5 - but are most expensive

Pirelli Scorpion

All in standard 215 60 17 size ( unless anyone has good reasons to increase width or section)

There are many user reviews on line but I would be interested in anyone's X-trail T31 experience or informed opinion of any of these, or even another make that I have not considered.

I am obviously aware of the "label ratings" of these tyres and would like an A A 68 score, but that's not gonna happen

So, what do you think? What have you done ?

Bf goodrich lasted long on my T30. Depends also if you do more offroad or drive on asphalt.
225 is normal too, gives a bit more grip.

Great tyres, I had BFG's on my Pajeros and they lasted forever but I won't be doing proper off roading in the XT so cannot really justify the expense.

It seems really quiet on these forums... ? Where have people gone? Don't say fb please...

Looks like the nearest size I can get in the UK for the Long Trail is a 235/70/17... I will include a BFG Urban Terrain in my research though as I can see the correct size in that tyre which has a label score of C C 70, so not too bad.

I bit the bullet and benefitted from an eBay 15% discount so bought from mytyres a set of four Hankook Dynapros. Worked out at £62.50 per corner and my local garage will fit and balance for an additional £10 per tyre so happy with that.

Old Goodyears still have around 4.5 MM. On front and 4mm on rears average so will not make change yet. I'm doing around 1600 miles per month so far so I reckon I will need to change tyres around Christmas ???

I will let you know how they perform then.

BF Goodrich and Insa turbo dakars for over two years.

BF Goodrich KO2 all terrains, superb tyre, you pay for it though. I use these from about april to september.
Insa Turbo dakar muds, incredibly good on the x-trail in terms of grip on and off road. Noise, well if you don't like noise, don't get these. Personally, I love the sound of them. Used from October to March.
