Hi all,

I've replaced all 4 calipers and now struggling to get any firmness in the pedal at all. I've followed the usual procedure to bleed each caliper in the order in the service manual (Back right, front left, back left, front right) and got some air out but now just clear fluid. I had the battery disconnected while bleeding, and kept reservoir around max.

With engine running, the pedal firms up after a few pumps, but leave it for a few seconds and next time you press it it will shoot to the floor.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Is it possible the ABS pump needs bleeding? How would I do that?

Any help much appreciated!

On a slippy road/field brake so that the abs kicks in forward and reverse. That bleeds the abs pump.
Then you could try to bleed it once more and go to the field again.
I use a diy one man brake bleeder. A suitable hose and a plastic bottle.
