Having a minor problem with the panoramic sun roof. To open it now I have to press then release the button many times. Same to close it. I have tried several variations of holding the button in when it has finished its travel to no avail. Help please!

I do have the user manual but have tried the suggestions, but they didn't work!

The learn proces?

If sunroof does not operate
If the sunroof does not operate properly, perform
the following procedure to initialize the sunroof
operation system.
1. If the sunroof is open, close it fully by
repeatedly pushing the CLOSE *3 side of
the sunroof switch.
2. Push and hold the CLOSE *3 side of the
sunroof switch to tilt the sunroof up.
3. Release the sunroof switch.
4. Push and hold the CLOSE *3 side of the
sunroof switch for more than 4 seconds.
5. Release the sunroof switch after the sunroof
is fully closed.
6. Check if the sunroof switch operates
normally.
If the sunroof does not operate properly after
performing the procedure above, have your
vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.

Hi,
As previously said, I have the manual with these instructions which I tried but didn't work. I have just tried again & now the roof is stuck half way & not operating at all. I am now praying that it does not rain. thanks for you help. May have to involve Nissan!

Just wiped the running tracks clean & applied silicone grease. Operated several time but still the same. When it stops working if I leave it for a while it comes back to life but still in fits & starts. Maybe a thermal device kicking in to protect it?

Haven't looked at my T31 - wife is away in it, but the T30 has an opening in the roof lining near the rear overhead light. There is also a cranked allen key in the tool kit & that's there to manually wind the motor for the roof back / forward in case of such a failure. Any suitable sized key will do, just maybe harder to turn by hand.

I had an issue with the motor actuating spontaneously - midwinter, so unscrewed the light fitting & popped the rear of the roof lining to allow me to disconnect the power feed to the motor.

Hopefully that will help in the meantime.

H

HOUNDY, I don't think the T31 has this facility as I have never seen any tool for it & I have had the car from new, but thanks anyway.
