Hi,

Having just joined the forum, and bought an Xtrail I'd like to know how to disable the internal alarm as I frequently need to leave dogs in the car with the doors locked. The first time I left a dog and locked the door, the alarm went off with the movement of the dog and nearly sent it batty. Thanks in advance,
regards Alistair

Welcome

Remember, even when locked with just the key the doors still double-lock so cannot be opened from inside :!:

I have read the posts in the link - switch ignition on and off 3 times and then set alarm.

I had problems with this when I got my 2003 X-trail just a month ago several times I left my little dog in the thing only to find him the poor little thing sat on the floor of the car shacking as the ***** alarm was going off I asked at the garage if I could get the alarm horn took out and they said no. it was only talking to a friend who told me not to use the button on the key put the key in the lock and turn it that will lock the doors but not set the alarm so I removed the battery from the key and so the I have to use the key and the dog is happy I hate alarms I never keep anything in my car that is worth steeling I would ban the ***** things.
