Hi,

Stick with the recommended oil spec. See this thread for details on what happened if the incorrect oil is used: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=24553&hilit=+Dpf

Kind Regards,

Eoin

Been trying to get an oil change done with no luck on my t31.

National no longer use castrol and tried to put 5w40 fuchs in, I told them not to bother and left it as I couldn't confirm it was the right stuff. Their computer said it was but didn't risk it.

Does any of the oil change places use the correct oil these days or is the Fuchs national use okay?

Cheers

This stuff... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401034907230? ... EBIDX%3AIT should be OK for x trails with DPFs according to Fuchs search, which if you put your reg into it gives a recommendation. I just got 20 ltrs for just £67.59 from tyre-outlet.co.uk, this will cover nearly 3 oil changes, so if you have a friend who needs an oil change you could split one. A-Z motorspares just asked me for over £70 for 8 ltrs, I nearly choked laughing.

Prices range from £7 for 1 ltr, 8 lts comes in at £35.80, half what A-Z wanted.

It is a full sythetic though so you may have to flush your engine to use it if you are on mineral at the moment.

this is Fuchs oil advisor

Hope this helps, any extra info welcome :)
