cd multi changer

Hi all
the cd player in my 2001 x trail,has started to play up,if you try to play a cd you get intermittent sound/silence [more silence than sound actually].....I don't want to replace it,i wondered if it could be repaired....any help/thoughts much appreciated.......cheers steve

Run a cleaner disc through it maybe?

Hi,
I have been looking for a faulty or spares unit for a while now.
I have been looking on ebay and have noticed that repair services are offered for this unit, you may want to sit down though, the adverts I saw were in the £200 arena FOR A REPAIR TO YOUR UNIT.

This is a common fault i ended up changing my whole unit as i play music through my i pod or i phone.
