Ok, stupid question time

So as not to hijack McMillans thread anymore than I have

I have a standard head unit, but have found a used sat nav unit for the same car, same year

Can I just simply remove the existing CD unit and plug in the Sat Nav unit or is it more complicated that that

I know it a dumb question........

No such thing as a dumb question only a dumb answer, however it does make it slightly difficult to give a definitive answer when we don't know what car you have.

If you could complete your profile in the user control panel it would make it easier.
Best regards

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

Please navigate here to complete your profile so that members are best placed to assist you: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4901

You will need to provide more details. Do you intend to replace the current head unit (what model) in the double din space (with extra cobby space removed), or do you intend to replace the facia so that you can have sat nav unit and also the same or another single din head unit?

A picture would be useful.

You will need to match up the wiring loom, depending on the current head unit.

Kind Regards,

Eoin

Take you current unit out and make a snapshot of you cables behind that unit.
I can tell whether it's a plug&play game or not
