Hi can Anyone tell me if 2011 X trial requires a Code for Sat Nav/ radio the owners book mentions a code for radio but does not mention Sat Nav
Or is there any way of finding out if it requires a code with out disconnecting the battery and seeing if it requires one
on re connecting ( bit of a drastic way to discover I need a code )
I went back to dealer and he stated they would look into it for me ( so far no reply from them )
However owners manual has no details in it hate to find out in years to come they should have supplied it

I asked the same question to Colin Appleyard's where I bought my car. (2011 X Trail). They said that I would have to take my car back, wait at least 2 hours while they downloaded the info required to get the code. I'm thinking hang on, at least 4 hours of my time and £15 - £20 in fuel for something I should have been provided with. I was lucky enough to know someone who is up on these things so I asked him. He disconnected the battery and then re-connected it. Everything works fine. So the answer is as stated above there is no radio code as such. What was the dealer going to tell me after wasting my time and money.
