The car is a year old and got a message on the screen saying a new version is available, contact your Dealer for further info.

Did this as I needed a good laugh! The reply was between £200 and £250 depending on model.

How can the supplier justify this sort of money?

For the record the current version on mine is: sd2-CONNECT_2012_EUR v3

It's not only Nissan - all manufacturers charge this sort of amount - it's criminal.

I suggested to various dealers that mapping updates should be free if you have your vehicle serviced by the dealer.

I just bought the 2014/5 Connect1 Europe update for £79 from an eBay seller in Russia. It took only 10 days to arrive and works fine.
As I got £49 for the 2012 card that came with the car originally, the overall cost of upgrading was £30.

Hi Nimby,

That sounds more realistic, do you have the link? Did you sell your card on ebay?

Graham.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251898643870 - but be quick as he now only has one left. You can get excellent tracking updates from Russia Post.

Yes I sold my original card on eBay.

T31 Sat nav update.

Hi I am new to this forum. I have just bought a 2012 170bhp Tekna, its my second Xtrail, the previous being a 2006 Aventura.

However, I have just bought the 2014/15 sat nav update from Navteq (now called HERE). The cost price is £149 but I found a promotion code that should have expired in 2014 but to my surprise it still worked and I got 10% off (but they still charge you £5 extra for shipping).
My sat nav is X9 Connect Premium although I understand some later models have an LCN Connect system that takes an SD Card

Site is http://www.navigation.com/homepage/nissan-eu/en_GB/EUR/
Code is: NISSAN-PROMO
