Is there an update disc for the Sat-Nav (at a sensible price)?
Thanks.

Hello bryncrug225,

I think your X-Trail could have the Nissan Xanavi X7.0 Disk. Please check before proceding...

Then check this link.

Umbongo kindly provided me with the following link, to satnav-updates.com - disks are £39.99 + £1.50 postage.

Hope this is of assistance.

Best wishes, John

I also have an 08 T31, when updating the sat nav, is is simply a matter of removing the disk (with the ignition on) and putting in the new disk?

Is the version number the one on the disk (I assume it is there, I have not had the courage to take it out yet) or the version number you can find on th menues? Probably the same.

I have seen references to a data disk, and an install disk, but I think this only applies to older T30s.

I have actually found the original disk very reliable, but it will in time need an update.

I get my new disks from satnav-updates at about one third of the price Nissan ask (about £40 as opposed to about £130.

And, yes, just eject the old disk and insert the new one into the unit in the glove box.

I "updated" my map via the people at satnavupdates.com. I can confirm it's as easy as ejecting one disc and inserting the other. When you eject the disc the screen/map/radio sounds a "blip" and the screen says "Please insert your map DVD" or similar. Once the new (or you re-insert the old) DVD is in this changes to "LOADING..." and then the map appears.

Simples!

I say "Updated" as I purchased the new DVD from satnavupdates and so far I've not seen any difference in the map, so I may have inadvertently "upaded" my map with the same map version!

I'm still waiting for the new 2012 version.

I bought my 2011 version a year ago and that is still showing as the latest version.

I'm getting impatient - there are loads of new/rerouted motorways in Germany that are not showing (A4 in particular) and loads of new roads in the UK that are not on the old 2011 version.

So, I need the new 2012 version as soon as it comes out.
