 Post subject: fuel tank heat shield t 31

hi never posted before but look at site often .the fuel tank heat shield on my t31 has half dropped off anybody know how much they are to replace car due for service and mot in january at local nissan dealers . I dont know if its worth my whlie trying to repair it my self or have it replaced.any help would be much appreciated.

Mods: side steps, amateur radio,
if the nut has gone through the hole,

see if they will undo without breaking,
then refit with large washers,

someone will be on later to just tell you to remove it,
we call them S*** or Bust " mechanics "

the heat shield has broke not come of the nuts .so would need brackets made to repair it

had a look in day light to day redrilled the hole for the rear bolt an made a bracket for the front all seams to be ok .its alluminium so easy to drill.thank for your reply truck driver
