My Aventura dci 2006 runs out of power and stutters above 2.5k revs I seem to remember someone saying it can be fuel filter or egr valve anyone in the Falkirk/Bathgate/Edinburgh areas offer any advise please it runs perfectly under 2.5 krevs and is giving 38-39 mpg and tows a trailer perfectly as long as you keep it under the above revs

Your fuel filter is a good place to start with this problem.

I assume that the ECU software was updated? In 2006 there was an issue that caused problems at around those revs but went away at higher revs. You would have to search old posts if you think that this might be your issue. It should however have been resolved years ago with a software update. Nissan were not that great in owning up to the problem at the time so it could have been missed but I would have thought you would have noticed it long ago.

Dirt/water in the fuel is probably more likely.
